Report of Mobile Workshop
Introduction:
A mobile workshop conducted at CMS Govt, Boys School Nishter Road Karachi on 19th April 2018 by Mr, Ahab Saeed an Assistant Professor of DETRC. The main purpose of this mobile workshop is to train the teacher and educational managers on doorsteps of campus school of Karachi. The participant selected from primary, middle, secondary and higher secondary sections of this school. i.e. some were PSTs and JSTs and others were HSTs and subject specialists. There were 19 teachers both male and female have participated in this workshop.
The topic of this workshop is “The role of linguistic skills in Education”. The Outcomes of the workshop were

Descriptions
The workshop started at 9:30. After registration and introduction Mr. Ashab Saeed and Ms. Shila Devi introduced themselves and then Mr. Ashab Saeed discussed the importance of linguistic skill in education through the use of multimedia powerpoint presentation. He shared four basic skills of language which are listening, speaking reading and writing. Then participants discussed different activities of linguistic skills in groups. Mr, Ashab Saeed showed a video of a classroom to illustrate different techniques of basic skills of language and how these skills can be improved during teaching. Then participant were divided into four groups one was listening group others were speaking, reading writing respectively. All four groups developed different activities and prepared charts for their presentation. After completion of group work, each group presented five minutes presentation on their assigned task. Finally, Mr. Ashab Saeed concluded the whole sessions and appreciates the active participation of participants.
During workshop Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Deputy Director of Govt. Divisional Educational Resource centre have visited with DEO and Director Secondary School Education and Mr. Imtiaz Bughio principal of CMS School. They all cherished efforts of DETRC team and especially congratulate to Mr. Zulfiqar Ali for taking the step of such mobile workshop.
Mr. Zulfiqar Ali shared the importance of mobile workshop. He said that he is ready to conduct such type of workshop in different campus school of all divisions of Karachi to update the knowledge of teachers and all educational managers.
Conclusion:
It was a very successful mobile workshop conducted in CMS School. All selected participant actively participates in discussion and group work. Some of the participants shared that they already know about these language skills activities but due to the shortage of time and pressure of coursework they did not implement in the classroom but now they knew the easy and brief methods of these activities and they can easily apply in the classroom.
During the workshop, some hurdle like power failure also occurred. That’s why the video could not show through multimedia. It was shown by the only laptop, but participant learned a lot of new techniques of teaching.
